In 1972 Joe Duffy was appointed the first solo BMW Retail Centre in Ireland, the company, founded by the late Joe Duffy and Bill Thompson opened its doors with only four members of staff. That year (1972) 180 BMW's were sold in the 26 counties of Ireland (of which Joe Duffy sold 90). The move to the state-of-the art premises at Exit 5 M50 in February 2004 saw further expansion for Joe Duffy with their appointment as a Main MINI retailer and a Main Motorrad retailer. All three franchises BMW, MINI and Motorrad have gone from strength to strength and Joe Duffy continue to hold the Number 1 position in Ireland for all three brands with Ireland's largest selection of New and Approved Used Cars and Bikes on display. In Novemeber 2018 Joe Duffy moved into a new state-of-the-art BMW facility in Charlestown, just off Exit 5 M50, less than 200 meters away from our previous location. The new BMW facility has a 41 Car Showroom, 100 Used Car Display, 31 Service Bays and 250 Car Parking Spaces. This is the largest ever private investment in the BMW brand in Ireland. The facility is an approved BMW sustainable dealership with a reduced environmental impact. Joe Duffy conducts business with integrity and enthusiasm and is strongly influenced by the philosophies of what is a very old and well established business. The BMW range has continued to expand the depth of models on offer, which has served to increase demand for the brand.
