All-new Renault 4 E-Tech electric makes its Irish debut at the Renault Store in Dundrum
The highly anticipated Renault 4 E-Tech electric has arrived in Ireland, making its debut at the Renault Store in Dundrum Town Centre. Inspired by the original Renault 4 from the 1960s, this modern all-electric version retains its predecessor’s practicality and charm, while offering cutting-edge technology and everyday versatility for a new generation of drivers.
Following in the footsteps of the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, the new Renault 4 is slightly larger and designed to appeal to a broader audience, including young families and urban drivers looking for a stylish and spacious electric car.
Renault has seamlessly blended classic design elements with modern technology in the Renault 4 E-Tech electric. Signature styling features include:
A single-piece illuminated grille, echoing the original Renault 4’s simple yet distinctive front-end design.
A reinvented three-part rear light setup for a modern yet nostalgic look.
A bigger-than-it-looks tailgate, with a design that extends into the bumper for a wider and lower opening, making loading easier.
An electric canvas roof with voice control, providing an open-air driving experience similar to the classic Renault 4.
18-inch wheels across all trim levels.
Available in seven stylish colours (Glacier White, Urban Grey, Starry Black, Carmine Red, Terracotta Brown, Hauts-de-France Green, and Cloud Blue), the Renault 4 E-Tech electric also offers personalization options for the roof, bonnet, wings, and bumpers.
With a 2.62m wheelbase, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric offers generous cabin space, including:
420 litres of boot space, complete with clever bag hooks and storage compartments, including a 35-litre underfloor area for the charging cable.
A 10-inch OpenR Link multimedia system with Google built-in and Reno, Renault’s AI-powered ChatGPT-based voice assistant.
Three trim levels: Evolution, Techno, and Iconic, each offering different interior finishes and tech features.
Buyers can choose from two battery options:
52 kWh battery (150 hp) with a WLTP range of up to 409 km and 100 kW DC fast charging.
40 kWh battery (120 hp) with a WLTP range of 308 km and 80 kW DC fast charging.
Both versions come with a heat pump for improved efficiency in colder weather and an 11 kW AC bi-directional charger, supporting V2L (vehicle-to-load) and V2G (vehicle-to-grid) technologies. While Ireland doesn’t yet have energy tariffs for V2G charging, Renault says the Renault 4 E-Tech electric is ready for when they arrive.
Equipped with 26 driver assistance systems, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric includes:
Active Driver Assist (Level 2 assisted driving).
Rear occupant safe exit alert for added safety.
My Safety Switch for customizable safety settings.
A tight turning circle of 10.8m, making it perfect for city driving.
The Renault 4 E-Tech electric will be available to order in time for 252 registrations later this year.
