The new Opel Astra, awarded Continental Tyres Irish Compact Car of the Year 2023, is available in petrol manual, petrol automatic, diesel automatic, PHEV, and all-electric versions, with a range of up to 416km. The Astra SC trim diesel automatic starts at €37,295 plus delivery. Opel Managing Director James Brooks stated: “Our goal at Opel is to make electric vehicles accessible. With our Energia partnership, customers can get a home charger and 20% off green electricity. Through our Opel Take Charge program, customers unsatisfied with electric vehicles can trade back to an ICE model within six months.”
He added: “Affordability is key. Our 0% APR Hire Purchase or 2.9% APR PCP finance offers, plus three years’ free servicing, reduce monthly payments. The €5,000 Eco Bonus also lowers annual road tax and running costs, making going electric simpler and more cost-effective.”
