Ohme, Ireland’s fastest-growing dynamic home EV charging company, has introduced its new MultiCar function, making it easier for households with multiple EVs to manage their charging needs.

Previously, users with more than one EV had to manually adjust settings or switch their primary vehicle in the app to charge different cars. With MultiCar, drivers can now add multiple vehicles to their account and seamlessly switch between them, ensuring the correct charging schedule and level of charge—without extra costs or hassle.

“Innovation and progress are at the heart of Ohme,” said David Watson, Ohme CEO. “The MultiCar function is a major step forward for the increasing number of households with more than one EV, ensuring no driver is left behind in the e-mobility transition.”

The feature also benefits those who need to track separate charging costs for personal and company vehicles, simplifying expense claims. Guests with EVs can also be temporarily added to an account for hassle-free charging. Each vehicle has its own charging data, allowing users to view detailed breakdowns of kWh usage and costs over time.

Ohme remains the only home EV charging provider with full compatibility across all energy tariffs, including dynamic options like Intelligent Octopus Go and OVO Charger Anytime. Its software connects to the national grid in real time, automatically adjusting charging to take advantage of lower electricity prices.

As the official charger provider for Mercedes-Benz, Volvo Cars, Volkswagen Group, Smart, and Hyundai, as well as the exclusive provider for the UK’s Motability scheme, Ohme continues to lead the way in smart EV charging. The company recently won two awards for its ePod charger and best tariff integration in the 2024 What Wallcharger? Awards.
