Nissan Announces Competitive Pricing for the Ariya EV

Published on 20 June, 2024

New starting price of €39,995

Overview

Nissan has introduced a new starting price of €39,995 for its 100% electric Nissan Ariya crossover, aiming to make luxury electric vehicles more accessible. This price point, inclusive of a €3,500 SEAI grant, is applicable to the 63 kWh Nissan Ariya Engage model, which offers a range of 404 kilometers and is equipped with numerous safety features and advanced technologies typically found in higher-end models.

Model Options and Pricing

The Nissan Ariya lineup includes the Engage, Advance, and Evolve grades, with customers having the option to choose between a 63 kWh battery or a larger 87 kWh battery. The 63 kWh Advance grade starts at €42,995, while the higher-spec Evolve grade with the same battery is priced at €45,495. For those opting for the 87 kWh battery, the Advance grade starts at €51,995, and the Evolve grade starts at €54,495. All prices include government grants.

Competitive Edge and Customer Offers

Seamus Morgan, Managing Director of Nissan Ireland, highlights the competitiveness of the new pricing, noting that the entry-grade price of €39,995 is comparable to, or even less than, the cost of similar-sized petrol or diesel cars. "Nissan is making EV driving more affordable than ever," Morgan stated, emphasizing the value proposition of the Ariya, which combines price, range, luxury, and space without compromise.

Nissan is also offering a summer Trade-In-Booster, providing customers with €2,000 more than their current car's value when trading in for a Nissan Ariya, valid until the end of July. Alternatively, a limited-time 3.99% finance offer is available across the Nissan range, allowing customers to drive a new Nissan Ariya 63 kWh Engage for €358 per month.

Technological and Safety Features

The Nissan Ariya is Nissan's most technically advanced model to date, featuring standard technologies such as Wireless Apple CarPlay, cabled Android Auto, and Intelligent Personal Assistant. The interior design minimizes traditional buttons, with primary control functions that vibrate when touched and appear only when the car is on.

Safety features are comprehensive and include Intelligent Forward Collision Warning, Intelligent Driver Alertness, Intelligent Cruise Control, Intelligent Lane Intervention, Blind Spot Warning and Intervention, Rear Emergency Braking, and Cross Traffic Alert technology. Nissan’s innovative e-Pedal technology allows drivers to manage acceleration and deceleration using only the accelerator.

The top-tier 87 kWh Ariya Evolve model comes with additional features like a Wireless Phone Charger, part PVC/Synthetic suede seats, Intelligent Rear View Mirror, Heads-Up Display (HUD), ProPILOT PARK, ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a Bose 10-speaker sound system, and an openable panoramic sunroof.
