Compact crossover gets a refresh

Overview

Ford has unveiled the latest version of the Puma, a sleek and technologically advanced evolution of the popular European compact crossover. Designed for effortless city driving and accommodating up to five occupants, the new Puma enhances the driving experience with a redesigned interior, expansive digital displays, cutting-edge connectivity, and advanced driving features.

The interior boasts a sports car-style cockpit with elevated and driver-oriented screens, creating a serene atmosphere with minimal physical buttons. Utilizing 5G connectivity, users can manage their day efficiently, from navigating traffic to incorporating Alexa Built-in for tasks like adding items to a shopping list.

Incorporating sophisticated technologies, the Puma facilitates natural driving with cruise control that adapts to junctions and bends. Innovative features enhance visibility during nighttime driving and simplify parking with a bird's eye view on the center screen. Ford has also announced the upcoming release of the fully electric Puma Gen-E, the first Puma model with zero-tailpipe emissions.

The new Puma introduces life-simplifying technology through two large screens – a customizable 12.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a high-definition 12.0-inch center touchscreen. The SYNC 4 connectivity system offers twice the computing power, seamless voice recognition, and wireless integration of smartphones through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Driving is made easier with Intelligent Adaptive Cruise Control, Stop & Go, and Lane Centring, providing a natural acceleration and braking experience. The Predictive Speed Assist adjusts cruising speed for road curves and other scenarios. The 360-degree surround-view camera aids city driving, while Dynamic Matrix LED technology enhances visibility by illuminating corners.

Adding to its practicality, the Puma features an 80-litre MegaBox in the boot floor and ample luggage space, even with five occupants. Available in Titanium, ST-Line, and ST-Line X models, the Puma offers Ford's 1.0-litre EcoBoost Hybrid engine with a 48-volt mild hybrid electric power system. The new Puma is manufactured at Ford Otosan's Craiova Assembly Plant in Romania, showcasing iconic design and innovative features.
