New all-electric Audi A6 e-tron to offer 750km range

Long awaited EV arrives here in September

Overview

The Audi A6 e-tron is set to revolutionize the upper mid-size segment with its striking design, exceptional aerodynamics, and impressive range. As the second model on Audi's PPE platform, the A6 e-tron exemplifies the brand's commitment to performance, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology.

Sleek and Sporty Design

The A6 e-tron showcases a harmonious blend of elegance and sportiness, with a powerful exterior that features slim daytime running lights and a distinctive grille, giving it a wide and assertive stance. The rear design complements the sporty aesthetic with a continuous 3D light strip and a striking spoiler lip, while wheel options range from 19-inch dynamic wheels to 21-inch variants for a more commanding presence.

Advanced Aerodynamics and Lighting

Setting new standards in aerodynamics, the A6 e-tron boasts a drag coefficient (cw) of just 0.21 for the Sportback variant, making it the most aerodynamic vehicle in the VW Group. The Avant version also impresses with a cw value of 0.24. Innovative lighting technology enhances safety and personalization, with digital light signatures and the latest digital OLED rear lights capable of communicating with the surroundings.

High-Tech Interior and Infotainment

Inside, the A6 e-tron offers a user-centric design with a suite of digital displays, including an 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit, a 14.5-inch MMI touch display, and a 10.9-inch front passenger display. The optional second-generation augmented reality head-up display (AR HUD) provides vital information directly in the driver's line of sight. The interior also features an optional panoramic glass roof and a Bang & Olufsen Premium Sound System for an immersive experience.

Exceptional Range and Charging Performance

Powered by a newly developed lithium-ion battery with a net capacity of 94.9 kWh, the A6 e-tron offers a remarkable range of over 750 kilometers (Sportback) and 720 kilometers (Avant) on a single charge. The S6 e-tron ups the ante with a range of over 670 kilometers. Thanks to 800-volt technology, the A6 e-tron can gain up to 310 kilometers of range in just ten minutes at a high-power charging station, with an 80% charge achieved in just 21 minutes.

Launch and Availability

The Audi A6 e-tron and S6 e-tron will be available in Sportback and Avant versions, with orders opening in September 2024. Pricing for the Irish market will be announced soon, offering a compelling option for those looking to embrace electric driving or enhance their electric vehicle experience.

Audi's Vision

Damien O’Sullivan, Audi Ireland Brand Director, emphasized the A6 e-tron's role in pushing the boundaries of technology and design, highlighting its incredible aerodynamics, cutting-edge features, and impressive range and charging capabilities. The A6 e-tron is poised to set new benchmarks in the luxury electric vehicle market.
