Alfa Romeo have introduced the eagerly awaited Milano to the international press in Milan, held at the historic headquarters of the Automobile Club Milano. This unveiling not only showcases Alfa Romeo's innovative design language but also underscores its deep-rooted connection with the city where the brand was established in 1910.

Sporting a compact size and distinct Italian flair, the MILANO marks Alfa Romeo's return to the European market's largest segment, promising to rekindle the enthusiasm of Giulietta and Mito fans while captivating a new generation of Alfisti enthusiasts.

In a segment crowded with sporty variants derived from mainstream models, the MILANO stands out as a stylish and unique offering, blending captivating aesthetics with cutting-edge technology in terms of comfort, connectivity, and driving dynamics.

Offering versatility to meet diverse driving needs, the MIilano comes in two electrified variants: the "IBRIDA," featuring a 136-horsepower 48-Volt Hybrid VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo), available in both front-wheel drive and Q4 all-wheel drive configurations with automated rear-wheel drive axle management—a first in its segment. The "IBRIDA" promises a smooth urban driving experience with electric mode usage exceeding 50% under certain conditions.

For those seeking pure electric performance, the "ELETTRICA" variant comes in two power options: 156 horsepower and a range of up to 410 kilometers WLTP, or the sportier 240-horsepower "VELOCE," embodying Alfa Romeo's spirited DNA. With its high power, torque, and specific calibration of the electric powertrain, the MILANO offers unmatched driving pleasure and segment-leading dynamics. Charging from 10 to 80% takes less than 30 minutes using a 100-kW DC fast charging station.

Exterior Design: With its balanced proportions, clean lines, and meticulous attention to surface quality, the MILANO encapsulates Alfa Romeo Centro Stile's iconic "Made in Italy" design ethos. Notable design elements include limited overhangs, muscular wheel arches, and the iconic ‘truncated tail,’ paying homage to the legendary Giulia TZ. The MILANO boasts a distinct identity, featuring the legendary shield—the most recognizable signature in the automotive world—alongside bold front aesthetics with adaptive Full LED Matrix headlights.

Interior Design: Inside, the Milano reflects a pure sporty essence, characterized by Italian craftsmanship, premium materials, and driver-focused ergonomics. Key features include a compact steering wheel adaptable to various driving styles, a historical 'telescope' design instrument panel with a fully digital 10.25-inch TFT screen, and customizable 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The interior is further enhanced by Sabelt sports seats and air conditioning vents shaped like a quadrifoglio (four-leaf clover).

Comfort: Despite its compact dimensions, the Milano offers impressive comfort and practicality, boasting the largest boot in its class (BEV) with a capacity of up to 400 liters. Additionally, driver assistance features such as level 2 autonomous driving, 360° parking sensors, and a semi-autonomous parking system contribute to an enhanced driving experience.

Driving Dynamics: Engineered for exhilarating performance, the MILANO combines optimal weight distribution with advanced technical solutions for unrivaled road-holding capabilities. The VELOCE version features a lowered sports suspension, enhanced anti-roll bars, oversized front discs with four-piston monobloc calipers, and a Torsen differential for supreme traction. The Alfa D.N.A. system offers multiple driving modes tailored to varying conditions, ensuring an engaging driving experience.

The new Alfa Romeo MILANO is set to arrive in Ireland in late 2024, with pricing and specifications to be announced closer to launch.
