Space & Practicality

The Kia EV3 offers impressive practicality for a compact electric car. Its 460 litre boot provides ample storage for everyday needs, with a wide opening for easy loading. Generous back seat legroom ensures comfort for passengers, even on longer journeys. ISOFIX points are easily accessible, making it simple to secure child seats. Overall, the EV3 combines space and functionality in a sleek, family-friendly design.

Equipment & Safety

As usual with Kia, there's an excellent amount of equipment and safety features across the range. Even the entry-level models are generously equipped, with two 12.3-inch screens, wireless phone charging, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and heated front seats and steering wheel as standard. The GT-Line model adds premium extras like a heads-up display and a powered electric tailgate for added convenience. Inside, the airy, quirky design is complemented by a thoughtfully laid-out center console that enhances space, while rear passengers benefit from features like air vents, charging ports, and practical storage solutions. The infotainment system, borrowed from the larger EV9, is intuitive and responsive, with physical controls for quick access and seamless integration with smartphones.

Performance & Running Costs

On the road, it delivers a smooth and enjoyable driving experience. With a combined power output of 205hp, it offers brisk acceleration and confident overtaking performance. The balanced chassis provides a stable and comfortable ride, even during spirited driving, while the boxy design doesn’t compromise handling. Efficiency is another highlight, with the long-range model claiming up to 563km of range. Real-world figures suggest around 450km is easily achievable, even with regular driving habits, making the EV3 both practical and economical to run.

Reliability & Residuals

The Kia EV3 is an outstanding all-rounder, combining practicality, performance, and efficiency in a stylish package. With Kia’s generous 7-year warranty, it also offers exceptional peace of mind, ensuring long-term reliability and strong resale value.
