Kia's EV3 takes top honours at the 2025 World Car Awards, praised for innovation, range, and user experience.

Overview

The Kia EV3 has been named the 2025 World Car of the Year at the prestigious World Car Awards, announced live at the New York International Auto Show. Selected by a jury of 96 automotive journalists from 30 countries, the compact electric SUV marks Kia’s sixth win at the awards since 2020.

Kia President and CEO Ho Sung Song celebrated the achievement, calling it a testament to the brand’s leadership in innovative, sustainable mobility. The EV3 brings the high-end tech of the EV9 to a broader audience, offering a bold design, practical interior, and a class-leading electric range of up to 605 km. With fast charging (10-80% in 31 minutes), advanced driver assistance systems, and over-the-air updates, the EV3 redefines what drivers can expect from a compact electric SUV.
