BMW Group Ireland has been named the Official Car Partner for the KPMG Women’s Irish Open, a prestigious event on the Ladies European Tour calendar. Scheduled to be held at Carton House, a Fairmont Managed Hotel in Maynooth, Co. Kildare from August 29th to September 1st, 2024, this partnership was established in collaboration with the tournament organizers, ForeFront Sports.
This collaboration signifies a significant advancement for BMW Group Ireland in the realm of golf, building upon its decade-long support of the Amgen Men’s Irish Open and commemorating its 20th anniversary of global involvement in golf sports. Helen Westby, Managing Director of BMW Group Ireland, expressed enthusiasm about the growth of golf in Ireland post-pandemic and the emergence of top talent in Irish women’s golf, highlighting BMW's commitment to supporting women's golf in the country.
Additionally, BMW will collaborate closely with Leona Maguire to promote the KPMG Women’s Irish Open and women’s golf in Ireland. Maguire expressed her excitement about BMW's partnership, recognizing their longstanding support and commitment to women in sports.
Throughout the sponsorship period, BMW Group Ireland will provide a fleet of electrified cars for the event, conduct activations with its vehicles, and organize a competition for golfers to participate in the BMW pro-am golf competition leading up to the event.
