Overview

Alfa Romeo Junior IrelandAlfa Romeo Ireland has officially launched the all-new Alfa Romeo Junior, marking the arrival of the brand’s first fully electric vehicle alongside a hybrid variant set to follow later this year. The launch event took place at Gowan Auto, the headquarters of Alfa Romeo Ireland, on Friday, 14th February, coinciding with the brand’s current advertising campaign, “Learn to Love Again.”

The Alfa Romeo Junior is designed to appeal to a new generation of drivers, combining Italian styling with modern technology and performance. It was first revealed to the Irish public at the Nevo EV show at the RDS in November and is now available at Alfa Romeo dealerships nationwide, with pricing starting from €34,995 (including SEAI Grant and VRT Relief).

The Junior Elettrica is the brand’s first all-electric offering, available with two power outputs. The base model delivers 156 hp with a WLTP range of up to 410 km, while the performance-focused Veloce variant offers 280 hp and features a Torsen “D” mechanical limited-slip differential, lowered suspension, and upgraded braking for improved handling and driving dynamics. The vehicle’s 54-kWh battery can charge from 10 to 80% in under 30 minutes using a 100-kW DC fast charger.

In addition to the electric models, the Alfa Romeo Junior will also be available as a hybrid later in the year. The Junior Ibrida will feature a 136-hp 48-volt hybrid system and will come in both front-wheel-drive and Q4 all-wheel-drive variants, with pricing details expected in April.

The hybrid version is expected to offer strong efficiency benefits in urban driving, with the ability to operate in electric mode for over 50% of city journeys.
